People who think criminalizing drugs will make people stop doing drugs are the same people who think criminalizing sex work will make people stop doing sex work.

I have been seeing news about right wing lobbing groups making MasterCard and Visa disallow some "sex-related" transactions.

And I have to say.
Sex work is a very traumatic field of work. You should not be making it worse for people who depend on it to survive by making them be seen as criminals.

It's not a matter of why the do sex work. We should be helping them instead of making their lives worse.

There is so much trauma in sex work: the shame, the abuse, the fear, the feeling of being treated as a criminal, the feeling of being dehumanized. It is fucking scary no matter how much you sugarcoat it.

And by adding all this extra limitations on top. What are they exactly trying to acomplish?

"Oh I can't get paid with mastercard I guess I'll stop doing sex work"

You have to be delusional to believe anyone will ever say that. Things are already bad enough to make things worse.
