Big Wave #LEGO print panel complete, building out the frame now. Here’s a couple top down, pre 3D and a fun post-3D view of the surface.
Here’s the completion of frame and all - this set has a neat mechanism where you slide the actual art into the frame and click it in to secure it. #LEGO
Aaaaand mounted. After doing some research, instead of using the provided hangers, I went with 4x 20lb Velcro command strips. #LEGO
Here are my other two bigger pandemic sanity builds - both the #GhostBusters Ecto-1 and the #BTTF #DeLorean have a TON of tiny details. I’ll have to post my build progress photos of them in the future. They were a lot of fun! #LEGO
Also it kills a small part of me that there are seemingly random spare parts in all these builds. I don’t remember that as a kid. #LEGO
@shadowbottle I used those strips for mine, too - they're great, aren’t they?
@Psionmark first time using the heavy duty ones but so far pretty fantastic! Weird alternate-universe Velcro to me lol but quite effective for flat application!
@shadowbottle They’re super strong. When trying to remove a picture from another wall, the Velcro bits stayed stuck together and removed a chunk of the wall!
@Psionmark shoooooooo Going to have to remember that!
@shadowbottle Hehe yeah. Next time I’ll try separating the velcro bits gently with a screwdriver or similar first.
@shadowbottle sigh mine is still sitting mostly in the bags.
@shadowbottle Wow! Nice work. That looks great.
