The Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration was asked how the #Ukrainian side responded to the article about the #US’s alleged calls for #Ukraine to stop attacks on #Russian refineries .
“The #Ukrainian side responded, I think, by achieving its goals and very successful operations carried out on the territory of the #Russian_Federation.
There are also statements by other officials that these are absolutely legitimate goals from a military point of view. We understand the calls of our #American partners. At the same time “We are fighting with the capabilities, resources, and practices that we have,” the politician said at the #Kiev Security Forum.
#Stefanishyna stated that oil refineries on #Russian territory are legitimate #Ukrainian targets from a military point of view.
According to her, in this case, #Ukraine acts according to #NATO standards.
Commenting on the hostile attack by the #Russians on March 22, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that she expects her partners to provide #Ukraine with weapons: “A reaction is one thing, we expect weapons first of all.”
