I try to remind myself that "cringe" is an arbitrary concept and 90% of things marked "cringe" have no actual reason to be shunned, made fun of, or bullied. It's all an arbitrary concept to force people to be all similar for the benefit of nothing.

cwicseolfor (has moved!)@hellomiakoda Given that the purpose in encouraging judgement of “cringe” is generally to uplift one speaker or group (generally, jerks) by stamping on another, I’m just likely to double down harder on whatever it is the jerks don’t like.
