I really do not like using #Discord, as it gets far too busy for my neurodivergent mind to keep up, especially if I haven't logged in for a couple of days or more.

It's really disheartening to see #OpenSource projects have it as their only/main platform of community involvement, as that's a quick way to put me off becoming part of their community! 😞

@torspedia we could always start the next fediverse platform! I’d love to see something bridging the communication of discord with the repo and CI/CD of GitHub, but open source.

@digital_cowboy

Could be interesting, though I'm really not a coder! 🙂

@torspedia there’s a lot more to building software than just coding ;) design is important too!

@digital_cowboy

I can certainly appreciate that. 🙂

I'm thinking of a calendar app first though, as there's no true open source one, that I could find, which works natively on all platforms... which isn't, mostly, a front end for Google!

@torspedia what kind of features for a calendar app are you looking for? I know Nextcloud uses a popular protocol, but that’s a heavy application for just a calendar…
@digital_cowboy the main feature would be data stored locally and device syncing when on the same wifi network, so no cloud system involved!
