@JaneGray Unless the "Biden is just as bad" people stay home.

Sometimes the "lesser of two evils" is quite a lot less fucking evil, and your only choice.

@JaneGray There definitely will be bloodbaths if Trump wins. And they will be perpetrated by Trump and his minions.
@rberger @JaneGray Yeah, I was going to say, there will be continuing terrorist acts, such as mass shooters egged on by Trump and his allies. And we'll still have governors like Abbott killing pregnant women and immigrants. But still, it will be far below the number of people who will die if Trump takes office.

@rberger @JaneGray

There will be bloodshed no matter what. If Trump loses, he will get his MAGAts to attack before the votes are finalized.

The people in charge need to be ready for that.

@JaneGray

Sadly, as an outsider looking in, I'm of the opinion there will be a civil war in the United States regardless who wins.

If Trump wins, he will actually unleash it, for he fancies himself an agent of revenge and retribution.

If Biden wins, Trump will manipulate his MAGA minions into believing the election was stolen, launching a coup attempt that will result in a civil war.

In any event, I'm not looking forward to 2025

I just hope I'm fucking wrong.

@JaneGray Question: is America becoming a kinder, more compassionate, and more diverse place *right now*? Of course not. The way I see it, voting for the lesser of two evils is a preservation of the status quo, whereas voting for the obviously evil option will have the opposite effect, that America will become even less kind, compassionate, and diverse.

This election season is a war between the liberals and the reactionaries.

@JaneGray the amount of racism ingrained in that country that gave him his power isn’t magically going away on election day.
@JaneGray
Assuming he does not find a way to cheat his way in AGAIN. This time he has more organized help. Shutter the thought.
