#Fediverse users are the digital equivalent to vegans.

You make some sacrifices for what you think is a better, healthier, ethical way.

And it wouldn't even be a sacrifice if everybody around you was actually interested instead of constantly asking you to eat meat / use instagram.

@potatoes_fall As a vegan and a fediverse user I have to say I am not sure this is the calculus I make. Vegan food is delicious and so is the fediverse. It is not a sacrifice. What is really required is having enough self-introspection to realize to resist the FOMO that someone might be having it better than you. If your food is delicious is that not enough? Does it have to be as delicious as someone else's food? The fediverse satisfies my needs. I do not see it as a sacrifice.
