Right outside the warranty period my beloved mouse started needing you to click *really* hard for it to function ;_;

Comfy mouse though, will probably rebuy

@christianselig Now that you’re in custom ergo keyboard world, seems about time for you to get into trackballs! https://ploopy.co/adept-trackball/
Adept Trackball – Ploopy

@kf Trackballs feel weird to me in that you're lying your hand flat again with most of them which never has felt ergonomic to me, and the side tilted ones put so much work into just your thumb which also sounds a bit strange

@christianselig The thumb style are all bad IMO for that reason — my thumbs would be dead b/w that and my phone. I love those like Adept or Kensington Slimblade, though I use them with my wrist more rotated outward, so it’s not as flat as you may imagine. I think folks looking for something more ergonomic lean towards the Classic, oftentimes with a 3D printed wedge for more tilt.

Also, I use a button to toggle scrolling, which is much nicer than any wheel.

Classic Trackball – Ploopy

@kf Dang, that one's cute. Does it come in wireless by chance?

@kf @christianselig I've used Logitech thumb-trackballs for years. It's true it sure wears your thumb muscle out at first, but after 20 years I don't notice at all, but I can tell the difference between my left & right thumb muscles not just by feel but visually! (don't know if there's any left-handed such things)

It's not quite precise enough for photo-retouching, but you can zip the pointer all around the screen amazingly fast.
