@rheinze the interviews they conducted for this movie with the people Kapu met are so much more interesting than both his own story as narrated in the animated parts of the movie and his own reporting
Still, I cannot recommend this (critical in the best sense) biography of Kapuścinski enough. It’s a gripping read and tells you so much about socialist Poland, the Cold War, Decolonisation, and the difficult history of writing about Africa in the West
