We should probably narrow Plymouth Rd a bit.

Bad car crash
@sedward5 cleanup from that was wrapping up at 10:30am yesterday (when I drove past), holy cow. I wondered what had happened.

Judging by the pictures I'll bet Mr. Porsche was going very very fast and lost it trying to take the curve in front of the Shell station. If he was going down the hill and turning hard at the same time that could cause a roll/flip even if he didn't hit the curb.

@csweatpants @hypomodern @sedward5 isn’t the car in the picture like 100+ ft from Plymouth, significantly uphill??

The road goes down hill but the driveway for the strip mall goes up hill. The car ended up in the parking lot in front of the weed store, but there was debris next to the gas pumps, so my guess is something like this: losing control going downhill on the curve, car goes through the gas station and still has enough velocity to make it up the grade into the parking lot. Given all the businesses, I'll bet there's video.

Hoping for the best for the injured.

@csweatpants @jwschultz @sedward5 yeah, it was crazy to see that it had skidded through the gas station! My first thought was that someone turning left out of the shopping plaza on the other side of the road must've hit them somehow, but I couldn't figure out how. They must've been traveling really really out of control to lose the car on that corner.

Hope they're all OK.

@sedward5 I realize that was at ~4am and the car was going ~100-120mph, but that stretch of plymouth always has cars speeding. I drive it daily at sticking to the 35mph limit seems difficult for nearly all.
@jrwren @sedward5 isn’t the limit 30? They really need to narrow the road. Everyone goes at least 40 there.
@matth @sedward5 It is a 35mph zone from Nixon all the way to Boardwalk, and yes, most of the stretch from Hubbard to Boardwalk people go 45. The road diets aren't working
