The two richest humans on planet earth have companies fighting in court to dismantle the govt. agency that holds corporations accountable for illegal union busting.

They know they can't stop workers from organizing, so now they want to destroy the whole system.

Pay attention.

Pardon me, I'm not from the US. Who are these two individuals and which are these companies?
@rbreich @phanuel If I'm understanding it correctly, I believe this is referring to Elon Musk and Starbucks. Someone please let me know if I'm wrong though!

thanks also for the article link, very informative.
@rbreich @corbden
Feels like Chesterton's fence would be relevant here
@rbreich
That's the least of what theses Leninist Oligarchs have in mind. #Project2025 is training people to replace thousands of government workers with MAGA loyalists.
And don't even get me started with the #ChristianDominionists

@rbreich oh yeah? How to belive "west" in general after strippinf sanctons from russian oligarchs
@rbreich The extent in which the greedy and selfish go to ,to keep their greed train going knows no bounds.
@rbreich It Wont matter. Unions were not "given" recognition. They demanded it.
@rbreich what could this lead to?
@rbreich
A bought government siding with capital over labor is what got us to this sad state. Repeal Taft-Hartley and turn labor loose.

@rbreich https://mastodon.social/@effinbirds/112096790617078782 Just say'n.

(I love it when two unrelated posts are totally related)

@rbreich Yes indeed and in every ways. It's a shame but there is worse, so worse in their plans. All this because there are actually incomptent selling destruction through waste all over the planet. This capitalism destroys all forms of competition while the foundations of liberalism are free enterprise. It’s just the imperialism of weakness by violation...

@rbreich

They're stepping up efforts. We ordinary people need to step up too.

If worker action is under pressure we consumers need to strike. Plain and simple.

@rbreich They have more money than they could spend in many lifetimes...yet want to deny workers a living wage &benefits?? , this is your capitalist predatory system at work , all the money stays at the top....
@rbreich They’ll never be able to stop workers from organizing and standing together to oppose corporate greed.
They’ll never be able to stop workers from organizing a strike.
They’ll never be able to stop workers from supporting other workers in solidarity.
None of those things depend on the government. They depend only on the will of the working people.
Solidarity! 👊
@canayjun @rbreich But they can, and will. Union-busting can get pretty aggressive. We're (mostly) past the stage where union organisers would be met in the street by a hired thug with a crowbar, but everything less is still open. Private detectives in the workforce. Bugs in the staff room. Calling on friends in government to investigate unions as foreign agitators. Secret blacklists of 'rebellious' workers. Unions win sometimes, but the advantage is to the employers. Workers are replaceable.
@Qybat @rbreich Workers are the lifeblood of the world. In #solidarity, workers will prevail and overcome all those things you mentioned. Unions have fought for and won all of us the social benefits we now take for granted - regardless of the opposition they faced. Workers are replaced - of course, with more workers. Solidarity!
@rbreich Wait, which two companies?
