I am very slowly working through a time travel adventure novel for children that's written in Chinese, and the first chapter is about a bored child being forced to listen to a Forbidden City tour guide rattle off facts. I'm excited to see how "the head of this statue is completely detachable" somehow becomes the crux of the plot after the child inevitably trips and falls into the Ming Dynasty
@0xabad1dea cool! which one? i found magic treehouse to be pretty doable as a learner, but kinda wondering if itd be better to read something originally written in chinese rather than a translated book.
