I want to go to there!
@georgetakei NYC needs to do this with Bagels. Day old bagels aren't that good. You can provide feed the homeless with the leftover bagels.
@georgetakei years ago a friend of mine took me to an entire store like that in Floyd Virginia. I was so impressed by the concept, but knew that where I come from (Spain) something like that wouldn’t really work (but I’d love it to)
@georgetakei Be the Scotland that you wish to see in the world!
It is common to find honesty boxes selling eggs etc when you hike through the countryside in Scotland. The best one I came across is an organic bakery outside Drumnadrochit on the Great Glen Way. There are no shops or cafes nearby so this was a lovely surprise.
They also sold some soft drinks and bottled water and left this note telling hikers who they are etc. So cute!
@dana fancy an oyster when you are near Oban?

Another example of #Scottish #Innovation.

This does not apply to ‘Deep Fried Mars Bars’ however.

@georgetakei

@georgetakei Seen even cooler stuff in rural Germany...

Like the same with Sausages... ^

@georgetakei

Books and Cake are a great combination.
All we need now is a coffee/tea fridge.

@JoeyBoughtACola @georgetakei I visited this Cake Fridge last year (on a lovely sunny day) and it does have tea and coffee making facilities in another cabinet.
@georgetakei Same, and I'm in Scotland.
@georgetakei LOL, honor system, but SMILE, you're on CCTV!
@georgetakei
And in Guernsey where I grew up, we have hedge veg, a similar concept for home grown vegetables.

@georgetakei In a better world, there would be both. Everywhere.
@georgetakei can confirm these are a thing. Found them all over Shetland.
@georgetakei sorry, books over cakes. Every time.
