The Biden Administration has invested heavily in clean energy, including the passage of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.

Trump makes fun of windmills, doesn’t understand battery storage, wants to burn fossil fuels, and has promised to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act if elected, the very legislation that’s actually helped both the climate and the economy.

@TonyStark
I heard some Republican on one of the #SundayShows this morning trash #Biden "for killing a pipeline that would have meant billions to the U.S. economy".

1) Biden didn't kill the #KeystoneXL pipeline. The company itself yanked it b/c it was too expensive.

2) NOT A SINGLE DROP of "oil" would have found its way into U.S. gas tanks or done a thing to reduce gas prices. Most was marked for EXPORT as HIGH SULFUR DIESEL.

@MugsysRapSheet Lots of them enjoy spreading lies. None of that helps anyone, either.
@MugsysRapSheet @TonyStark
With Keystone, we would have assumed all the risk- of polluting a vast agricultural area- with none of the financial benefits.

The Fossil Fuel Industry Is Paying the GOP Handsomely to Deny Climate Change

Republican super PACs in the House and Senate raked in major donations from the fossil fuel industry this year. Proving to be money well spent, GOP lawmakers are ramping up a campaign of outright climate denial.

Pretty obvious that the rich run the so-called supreme court

@Nazani @Npars01 @TonyStark A real life Blofeld. I wonder if he strokes a cat during meetings.

@Npars01 @TonyStark

Yes, excellent point. People concerned about threats to democratic principles, human rights, and the rise of totalitarianism, especially the GOP, should understand where the money and power behind those threats comes from: fossil-fuel corporations and their owners/investors.

@TonyStark We installed solar panels a year after we moved to our new house (November 2019). Last year, we installed a heat pump (instead of replacing the leaking oil tank and the compressor that needed to be replaced).

We paid our first electric bill in almost a year last week 🙂🙌

Now to finish paying off the solar panels...

@CharJTF Congrats! That’s really neat! There’s so much out there we can take advantage of as we are able to make changes at home and advocate for them on the larger level.
@TonyStark @CharJTF Not to mention it makes individual homes more resilient in situations where the power grid is under strain.

@WhiteCatTamer Yep. We're trying to save enough to buy a backup battery to keep us going during power outages.
