I am in no way advertising for Pepsi at all because of how they've responded to Putin's invasion of #Ukraine but #ClimateProgress is progress on that front at least.

PepsiCo is expanding the size of its electric fleet in California, adding 50 Class 8 Tesla Semis and 75 Ford E-Transit electric vans.

CocaCola too has acquired 20 Daimler Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 tractors, a variety of electric semi that produces no planet-warming pollution.

Sadly to me I've spent my morning on social media focused on politics and the wars so haven't posted as much on #ClimateProgress and #ClimateSolutions as I like to do.

I just found this awesome picture though that I want to share. I understand that a lot of so-called self-described environmentalists want to do away with animal husbandry right away the same way they want everyone to go cold turkey on fossil fuels, but that's political and ergo climate suicide.

The German government made a major move that will help revolutionize the country's steel production process.

As explained by Reuters, the German government pledged 2.6 billion euros ($2.8 billion) in funding to support steelmaker Stahl-Holding-Saar's (SHS) transition to greener production. The investment will drastically reduce the pollution from steel production over the next few years.
