Anyone know of places in the fediverse where people doing refashioning hang out?

I realized I have quite a few pieces of clothing that fit me from ye olden times when quality was better, but they also kind of scream early 00s (and not in the cool y2k revival way).

Looking to get some inspiration to update some beloved items and meet cool folks 🥰

@ninz Our sewing group is rather small on Masto. Unfortunately #upcycle and #refashion are seldom used. I find a lot of niche sewing hashtags haven't picked up yet, so as long as you follow #sewing you might find a few projects for inspiration. How bad are these y2k items? I was a teen in the late 90's early 2000's. So much of that fashion has come back in to style it feels surreal. Maybe share pics of what you've got and some of the people here might have suggestions. 🙂

@TillySews Absolutely, if people are interested. They’re not at the egregious level for the most part, just a little dated looking imo. The other issue is, I’m not entirely sure what alterations would bring them up to date. I’d love to get some input 😄
