@ente @stux - Interesting, I wonder how it compares to immich which is what I've been using (alongside icloud)

@ente @stux When I first saw the cost for the hosted version I thought hmm that doesn't seem particularly cheap, but now I've read how the data is stored I can see why.

Might have to look into the server further and see if I can configure it to do something like keep one copy local and another remote.

@ente @stux That said I'm not actually against using the cloud service, just it will take a while with my current upload speeds.
