@Mammal_Society

@globalmuseum Wow! How big are these creatures? I've never seen one up close. I thought they were about the size of ferrets or something, but they look bigger here.
@macronencer @globalmuseum The ones we have seen run across the road here were a bit less bulkyt than ferrets but they seem bigger because of their tails.(They can get through any space wider than 2.5 inches sq so my chickens all sleep in steel puppy crates overnight now ) ,But there are bigger ones around .They are fierce little things ,I crofter I know was scared off going in this loft because they were nesting there so I have never gone looking too closely if I think theres one around.
@Helengraham @globalmuseum Worth knowing, thanks! Definitely worth exercising caution around any animal with teeth, of course! A neighbour of mine once got a nasty bite from a badger that had fallen in his car inspection pit while he was trying to rescue it. Best left to the professionals, that sort of job...
@macronencer @globalmuseum Hes braver than me I would def have been calling the rspca or someone .Luckily everything I have had to rescue has been small hedgehogs and once a squirrel so a thick pair of gloves was all that I needed
