My grandfather died from smoking. My father died from smoking. I quit smoking the day my father died. I smoked cigarettes for 15 years (11-26). My father never got to meet his grandchildren because he died too young (61).

Big tobacco took my father away from me and my children.

What the #NzGovernment has done is condemn future generations to misery. The terrible health outcomes, the mental distress of death and the very real cost to our society. #nzpol #NationalNotFitToGovern #SmokefreeNZ

@dvsk , and all to feed the greed of billionaires...
life in close-up is a tragedy, made worse by unscrupulous, heartless politicians...
@dvsk I started smoking when I was 17 and haven't missed a day. I feel your pain, truly a curse, but I need it to feel normal.
@nimzomusic I totally get it, I’m 41 now and still get the craving for a cigarette every now and then. I’m not concerned about us oldies, we’re fucked as it is. But I have two daughters and I will do anything to prevent them from getting addicted to something so dangerous. I want them to grow up healthy and with a father, something I didn’t have.
