@randahl isn't punishing 288K Russians for the actions of a few Russians itself racist? What am I missing, how is this perfect?

Because this Clubs were frequented by these Russians. Other white people were probably not perhibited from entering, but if the main spoken language at a place is russian, it will attract mostly russian speaking customers.

@Life_is @randahl we shouldn't celebrate punishing all Russians in Sri Lanka for the actions of a few. And we shouldn't celebrate 288K Russians being deported back to a country they fled to escape a war. A large number of those 288K Russians will end up conscripted, fighting, and dying for Putin. The only winners in this story are some Sri Lankan politicians looking for a distractions from their fiscal incompetence and Putin who gets more conscripts to send to their deaths. This is not perfect.

I would like to know, if they got a Warning and had a Chance to change their behaviour.

@Life_is @randahl my point is the Sri Lankan government is punishing all Russians in Sri Lanka for the actions of a few Russians. Ironically because some Russians were being bigoted the Sri Lankan government was bigoted against all Russians.

I am sure, there are good people among the 288000.

But it is difficult to be a good person in Putin's Russia AND have the financial means to travel to and to stay in Sri Lanka.
