Eat the rich.

@Ten move to a communist / socialist country and be happy, there is nothing stopping you.

The whole capitalist bit that makes them rich is something you choose to participate in

@lmnewey @Ten Hi! I'm curious how this is meant to help? We all have different circumstances, and it's not really something that we can choose to participate in or not. I think it's a noble endeavour to try to improve a society! Do you think we should give up and just be unhappy? I'm really curious what you have to say!
@RyeBread @Ten It helps because its not hopeless, people complain about rich people but don't do anything about it. Firstly its effectively hate speech to say we should eat people. But the power to make change belongs to the individual. If your not happy about rich people in a capitalist society, just leave. They cant be rich with out the labour of others and with no one to drive demand... Complaining about them does nothing at all. Doing it on social media actually drives demand for more...
@lmnewey @Ten *They can't be rich without the labour of others* I agree! What do you think could be done about that? I think labour actions against greedy capital owners is a really good start. I'm not sure why you're talking about eating people? Honestly leaving would be pretty cool, but unfortunately I can't afford to, on account of living in a capitalist society. You could donate to help me get out though!

@RyeBread

What do you think they are doing wrong ?
(not sarcastic, its a genuine question)

Employers can exploit a saturated market to lower cost, because labor is easy to find. The answer is to get skilled and move in to a market where your labor is valuable.

@lmnewey What do you think they're doing right? Let's say I work for a small company making 30k a year, but my boss is pocketing 120k a year BEFORE receiving a bonus, stock options, etc.

Why is that fair? Sure he manages the bureaucracy of the company, but me and the other staff members are generating the actual value of the companies.

The boss doesn't generate that value, you could argue he directs it, but that's not worth 4 times the pay of the actual labour value.

@RyeBread

What is it you do if you dont mind me asking and what industry are you in ?

I think it will go a long way to shed light on what is going on

@lmnewey No, that's ok! I'm not talking about a specific industry. This is generally the way every industry in western culture works. Do you work in an industry where workers are paid similar wages to their bosses? I'd love to know about it!

@RyeBread I do, and that was the point i was going to make.

You can only get paid so little if your in a saturated market. I work in a market where there is demand for people. They had to negotiate with me to get me to work for them (it should gross more than 200k this year).

The minimum they can pay you is what ever amount people will work for. To fix the problem you just leave that market. when there is demand in that market they have to pay more to get people back. its that simple

@lmnewey
Ah, I suspected it was going here: 'it's your fault because you didn't get the right skills & live in the right place.'
