When I played pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of darkness I can't describe how happy I felt watching the protagonist return to the pokemon world and hug their partner. Dunno if that counts since it's not a main line pokemon game oops

@Cheesealicious It absolutely counts! I played Explorers of Sky and only got to the credits, but I know there's more to enjoy after that, which I hope to get around to this year.
