When I played pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of darkness I can't describe how happy I felt watching the protagonist return to the pokemon world and hug their partner. Dunno if that counts since it's not a main line pokemon game oops

@johto I still remember how smart I felt when I had made a cheese strait in blue rescue team. It felt like in that moment I had grown more confident in my knowledge of the mystery dungeon series.
Or beating Eris in Black 2 which was my first mainline, after having struggled for days on end
