@MostlyHarmless I took them out shopping in a downpour today, and recognized a feature of the closure that I hadn't noticed. When you unroll the top of a wet bag, the lip inside the fold is dry and *stays* dry because water slides away from it as you open it up. Simple and functional. Like a bicycle. 🚲
