It's funny because it's the exact problem that the AI grifters say they're worried about

But it's the AI corporation, a thing with one directive: make stock go up, and not the AI itself that is turning the world into grey goo or paper clips or whatever and we still can't turn the damn thing off

@researchfairy i have encountered, so far, nothing to really undermine the position (that i perhaps first read articulated by cstross?) that corpos are already pretty much slow AIs, and have been for centuries. and at this juncture: clearly malevolent ones, for the most part.
