please correct me if i am showing my age but: wasn't there more to do on the internet in the early 2000s? is it rose tint? seems like 6 sites have cannibalized the entire world wide web. where are the webrings and the active forums dedicated to #PhantasyStarOnline and the little fansite banners and the sites full of poorly animated gifs? and StumbleUpon, what happened with that? i just woke up from a dream.

@buru5 Social media happened. Before social media took off, if you wanted to share anything on the Web, you needed a website.

When we were passionate about a topic (like a video game), the default answer was to build a fan site to share your passion. Now, the default answer is to join YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok.

I still default to websites. I love controlling my creative space and not being subject to the whims of a corporation.

@buru5 I'm also going to take this opportunity to share my passion projects.

I've been building this love letter to one of my favorite games of all time since mid-2020. Lockdown gave me an opportunity to launch something I had been hoping to do for over a decade.
