Philip Glass' Akhnaten heard/seen the 1st time, and the 1st thought was how beautiful the prelude's start sounds. Then it takes a little 2 long repetitively w/ nothing really visually engaging instead either/it's PG, what did I/you expect?
Once the father/Amenhotep III speaks, the thought of our still performing our funerary + worshipping rites 2 ancient Egyptian kings & gods arises. And that this worship I want to or don't mind participating in. Praise the gods.

He flies who flies. This king flies ... ....
he is not of the earth, he is of the sky.
He flies through the skies, on those wings. On those wings.
And then the drums. Ritual time. For the gods or otherwise.

Philip Glass's #Akhnaten Met rerun again reminds me of an old 'sun with rays' image when they get to the light 'pipes' during Window of Appearances.
Made around 7.12.2016 based on pic. It was originally meant for a snowflake design, but as if I wanted that when getting the idea it'd suit a sun as well. Colours & life for me.
We had old slightly warped wood at that place so that got used for bases for paintings otherwise. All semi-fitting Egyptian themes.
