@NaraMoore 2/2 #JCovers #JMusicFriday for the second question, still!
Kalafina covering See-Saw's Anna ni Issho Datta No Ni, at Animax Music Fall 2010. Might be a cheat since both are Kajiura-related, but Kalafina's cover is already unique due to being a cover by a group, plus they are a vocal harmony group. The bridge is particularly fabulous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4gwQfAppj8&t
**EXTRA**: The Youtube mashup has long been deleted, it seems, but I still have a copy of the song itself--a mashup with Chiaki Ishikawa's animelo performance of the song and Kalafina's performance of the above. This is the one that lives in my head, so not really a cover but something very cool regardless. You'll have to download it though, I couldn't make it play in-browser, sorry: https://file.garden/ZRpLQD_G0TetIeS8/Kalafina%20X%20Chiaki%20Ishikawa%20-%20Anna%20ni%20issho%20datta%20no%20ni.mp3
HIMEKA singing Yuzurenai Negai. This one is one of my favorite covers of one of my absolute favorite songs, from an amazing singer. Even now playing it while I type this is giving me goosebumps, as it always does. IMO another hard song to cover properly, and HIMEKA's version succeeds where so many others fail. It even takes a chance in changing it up by singing the chorus first--and to me, some of the best covers are the ones where they change the song to their styles and strengths. Nowadays though, I just get sad due to how HIMEKA and her career ended and get sadder whenever I listen to her songs, to the point where sometimes I can't listen to them. I hope she's okay constantly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TIoFF_X6sk
