There have been 49 mass shootings in America in the first 46 days of 2024.

It is the corrupting power of NRA money over one political party that stands in the way of meaningful gun reform.

@rbreich
#Republicans will do anything they can to perpetuate the gun slaughter is Americans in sole service of gun industry profits.

They’ll keep doing it as long as the NRA keeps delivering those stuffed envelopes to pay their appreciation.

#GunControlNow
#EndTheSlaughter

@rbreich the stated objective of the 2nd Amendment is "the security of a free state." Given the amount of civilian against civilian gun violence in this country it has clearly failed to achieve its objective. In fact, the 2nd Amendment has directly contributed to our lack of security.
@rbreich republicans are pro gun and it's associated mass slaughter

@rbreich Every gun murder is directly pointed at the gop and the nra. Both money laundering criminal cabals.
@rbreich if the GOP thought they could get away with baning guns owned by minorities then they would support gun control.
@rbreich please look at who is doing the mass shootings...people with stolen guns. Today the CO legislature voted to keep stealing/trafficking of stolen guns a misdemeanor...why?
@rbreich Meanwhile, the NRA continues its tax-exempt status
@rbreich I would love to see the NRA have to pay the hospital and medical bills of Americans who survive these public shootings.
@rbreich Have you written about gun violence and single-victim gun deaths in high-crime areas like Chicago? I agree the NRA stands in the way of the reform most Americans can agree to, but don’t the statistics overshadow mass shootings (as bad as we agree they are)???
@rbreich
I think Americans have to stop thinking about the Right’s gun position as “crazy”. They are drawing their power by making their supporters enraged and prepared to commit violence to support their leaders. Is it just a coincidence that they’ve made their followers ravenous to own AR 15s while the left attracts the peaceniks? If Republicans can making winning depend on violence, they’ve already got their mob armed for war.
