As Trump's approval ratings have fallen precipitously, from "only hardcore MAGA idiots like him" to "slightly less popular than a politician with multiple communicable diseases", his inner circle and lickspittles in the House and the Senate are all desperately pointing fingers and playing the blame game, trying to ensure that someone, anyone else is blamed for Dear Leader's disastrous administration.
I'm reminded of the saying, which I think was born out of the French revolution and the terrors that followed:
"Every revolution eats its children."
I think in this case, Stephen Miller may be taking this a bit too literally. It's just past noon in Washington, D.C. Do you know where your children are?

Today in Labor History March 22, 1794: President Washington signed the Slave Trade Act, which banned U.S. ships and citizens from engaging in the international slave trade. However, Americans continued to import and export slaves illegally, and other countries could still legally import slaves into the U.S. until 1807. A slave trader named John Brown, founder of Brown University, was the first person tried and acquitted under the Slave Trade Act. But the government still confiscated his ship. He was later elected to Congress.

He urges Congress to defend American prosperity and lives. #Politics #Congress 23 years after being deployed to Iraq, #SethMoulton criticizes #Trump for sending troops to Iran without Congress's approval. He emphasizes the need for Congress to "have the courage to stand up to this lawless president" and prioritize domestic needs over war. — Congress did not understand the cost and voted to send me to war in Iraq by authorizing the use of force against Hussein’s regime. More than 4,000 Americans came home from that war in flag-draped coffins. Link to my op-ed in today's Boston Globe in the comments below. Follow @sethmoulton for more.
