The fury at Jon Stewart is kind of funny because we're talking about one of the most basic normie center-left liberal celebrities in the country, and he's certainly not without his failings, but he hasn't really changed. It's Biden who has tacked right and failed to quell Trump's fascist movement while insisting he alone can fix it.

And I should qualify that Biden hasn't really tacked right so much as he's always been a mediocre conservative Democrat with a vocal antipathy toward abortion rights and Palestinians. He hasn't got a selling point for his candidacy beyond rehashing his fight with Trump ad nauseam, and he and his boosters simply feel entitled to votes while telling people to go fuck themselves if they expect better.

What the fuck are we doing, indeed.

@timberwraith Yeah. He rather gently mocked Biden and Trump for both being old, Biden not handling the accusations well, and pointed out that supporting Israel at this point is more than just a little oopsie.

@timberwraith These people were so excited to have him back on "The Daily Show." I guess Trevor Noah wasn't doing it for them. And hey, Stewart is an ass, but he's a very centrist ass, and if he's not impressed with Biden, who would be?
