Parts of my #DnD group are turning into murder hobos. #SoloRPG is looking more and more appealing...
@enfors That sucks. I find harsh consequences works to quash that behaviour.
@YUMDM Yeah, in this case I'm not the DM, and the DM seems to find it kind of funny, so... 😕
@enfors Oh, gotcha. That sucks.
@YUMDM Yeah, there's lots of "But that's what my character would do!", as if that absolves them of designing their character that way. If I were to play my character as faithfully to their personality as they do, my character would walk away from this party which would mean I can't play this character anymore. So yeah, it's a bit frustrating.
@enfors To be honest, I play a lot of solo gaming now due to similar reasons. Most of my friends play 5e and seem happy to do so. And they tend to play fairly light-hearted, which is fine and all, but I want a more serious tone to my games. Also, they mostly play online too.
@YUMDM Yeah, podcasts I've listened to has really inspired me to DM/GM in a much more detailed way. More background history, more details, etc... so I'm currently prepping my world, both for solo play as well as for GMing for my group using #PathFinder2E.
@enfors Awesome! I am doing the same, while making my own TTRPG.
@YUMDM Hahaha, same! When I play solo, it's actually my own game, #UnifiedRPG. Making your own game is a surprising amount of fun, as I'm sure you've noticed too.
@enfors Nice! Do you have anything online?

@YUMDM Not yet, unfortunately. I want to set up a website, but I haven't yet. I could easily get something like blogspot or wordpress, but since I'm a programmer I think I can do a better job on my own.

But that means I have to get off my ass and actually do that, and so far I haven't been able to do that 😅

@enfors Haha. I hear ya. All good. Just curious.
