Model showed up to life drawing to so sick, tired, sneezing, coughing, looking like death warmed over. As she hacked away, everyone but me made apologies for her, calling it allergies, a cold, anything but #covid Everyone telling themselves and her lies to protect each other from facing truth.

They shut off the air purifier I had put on, to put on fan for her. I said this purifier stays on. I got push back. I plugged it in by me. I said this girl is sick, it’s NOT allergies, & she shouldn’t be here. I am not about to get sick or die bc she showed up sick. She held back tears for the next hour in class bc I made sure she knew she was putting our lives in jeopardy & I wasn’t going to be nice about it.

@KimSJ the way they contort themselves to do that is just astonishing. Just saying ‘COVID’ has become a real taboo.

@JoBlakely I haven’t attended the life drawing collective I used to be part of since the pandemic began. Just one more part of how society’s high-risk behaviour has circumscribed my life. 😢

@KimSJ I’ve been okay as long as I wear a good mask. Now I found they have an air purifier, I put it on full blast while there and stand near it. The collective should get an air purifier if they haven’t , if for no other reason than to protect the model if they don’t care about themselves.
