Dawg, I started telling everyone around me, and reaching across the interwebs to tell total strangers, that these folks were absolutely real fascists, and absolutely meant to do mass murders eventually precisely because I was afraid we'd get here.
I dunno how this story ends, but I do know that y'all shoulda listened to me 10 years ago because we coulda chased these fucks out of public life mostly bloodlessly.
The longer you wait, the higher the body count ends up being.
You are never going to remove all the fascists. You cannot actually kill the fascist ideology through reason and argument because it's not based on reason and argument as you would understand it.
What you CAN do, is make fascists so afraid that they stay in their basements having sekret Klan meetings and sharing letters in Soldier of Fortune magazine.
We have failed that part. And this is what happens when you let it take root in your society. You're still having dinner with nazis.
@AnarchoNinaWrites Yeah, this is what we're usually saying, like, please abandon loyal defense of all the fascists y'all like, please actually impose some negative social consequences on people for being fascists instead of having dinner with them and leaping to their defense anytime someone morally disapproves of them.
Not asking anyone to shoot their parents, just to tell them off and not let them see or speak to their grandkids again until they renounce and abandon their fascism.
