@plaetzchen No - My drive camera can detect cars/people & Reolink integration has a sensor for car detection. Then I'll probably send to AWS Rekognition. Looking at Frigate though, it will come in very handy for other things - thanks
@grandadevans Ah I see, yeah there seem to be solutions for doing this local but AWS is probably the easiest
Alan@plaetzchen @grandadevans The idea of sending pictures from a camera at my home to AWS to process feels very alien to me tbh.
@ln @grandadevans I mean that is a personal decision to make but for an outside picture of a driveway I see it as acceptable
@plaetzchen @ln It is just a driveway in-between the high brick side of 2 houses, & at the end of the drive there's a big black square for privacy/avoid false positives.

@grandadevans @ln Yeah, I am also eying to upgrade to an N100 system for my Home Assistant now
@plaetzchen @grandadevans To be fair, plenty of people use Amazon cameras so this isn't entirely strange. Just felt like an odd choice for Home Assistant because HA is often used for the privacy benefit.
@ln Sorry for late reply - when I 1st started with HA, I'd love nothing better than doing it the privacy way, now I just need a quick way to achieve the result... I will be looking at alternatives, though.
