Vel, Velvet, Velveteen@clarisskrays it's worth noting also that canonicity in .hack is very very disputed and in officialy published timelines the only media the only truly non-canon entry is Fragment PS2. A lot of the "this is non-canon" stuff boils down to "this adaptation is worse than this other adaptation" (like legend of the twilight manga vs anime, where the manga is claimed by fans to be canon because the anime kind of sucks).
@clarisskrays that is to say, any retelling of a story within .hack you prefer is always canon even if it contradicts other entries, and that's pretty cool
