If you want to see liberal 'accountability' look no further than the Utah Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) council.
Their supposed purpose is to "strengthen faith and confidence in law enforcement for the citizens of Utah, by providing objective and consistent investigations of complaints or allegations of misconduct against peace officers"
For a taste of that, we can look at the case of Utah County Sheriff Deputy Joe Richardson (pictured). In March of 2021 Richardson was going more than 20mph over the speed limit in his personal truck, with no emergency lights, when he collided with 22 year old Joseph Spencer's car (3rd picture) and killed him.
Deputy Richardson was put on administrative (read: PAID) leave and has been ever since. He also plead guilty to negligent homicide.
On January 9th 2024 the POST council heard his case. The presenter, also with POST, recommended a 3 year suspension of Richardson's certification, which is the baseline for this category of incident. POST not only deviated downward to 2.5 years, they applied the suspension from the date of the incident, meaning it seemingly expired on September 16, 2023, which is in the past.
