@tofugolem Some of the arms purchases were arranged before October, & a heavily armed Israel is a deterrent to a broader Mideast conflict. Iran & other states & groups would be happy to pile on while Israel is focused on Hamas.

@Nazani @tofugolem The media hasn't ignored it, the medis has stated plenty of times that he's trying to presdure them "behind the scenes" and I think the media has been too kind. It hasn't worked and he keeps rushing Israel weapons.

@Nazani @tofugolem It hasn't been a deterrent - the situation in Gaza is causing increased risk of area violence and we are enabling it to continue rather than addressing the most urgent problem.

Oh, I agree, but usually, even something this minor and inadequate would result in accusations of antisemitism and political careers going down the toilet.
A fully agree this is not enough.
But we have to change public attitudes and public discourse in order to get to meaningful policy change.
