I would be very curious to know what the net salary costs are of the fare inspectors, and how the difference between that and the $75,000 generated compares to the $1,104.95 in fares that were lost by those 287 skipped fares.

Fare policing is a false economy, which targets the most vulnerable users of the system.

@martinsettle @cbcottawa_mirror I was wondering about that too. Each ticket seems to require two enforcement officers and two special constables. I suspect it requires one ticket per hour to simply pay the salaries.
