Netflix Co-CEO Calls Vision Pro 'Subscale' and Wonders If Anybody Would Actually Use It - Slashdot

Netflix is on everything. It's on your phone, computer, and game console, going all the way back to the Nintendo Wii. Hell, you can get your Netflix fix on a Peloton. One place where Netflix won't be is Apple's upcoming Vision Pro VR headset. Why isn't Netflix planning an app for what is Apple's big...

@slashdot I honestly can't imagine a worse way to watch a TV show or movie than in a VR headset.

@Rusty @slashdot hard agree. I’ve been in the VR space since the Rift DK1. I’ve tried watching movies on the Rift, Vive, Index, and now the Bigscreen Beyond. It’s just not a great experience. There’s novelty for sure, but it wears off really quickly.

Sitting in front of a 55” or larger TV is a better overall experience any day.

@jamiehs @slashdot Yeah absolutely

I've spent eight hours in VR before but, unless I'm actively doing something (ie not just sitting there watching a movie) I start getting kinda perturbed with having a big screen strapped to my face
