I am fascinated with rock in any form, the shape, texture, striations, patterns, color and everything to do with it. At Sturgeon Chutes on the Wanapitei River, the water from the flowing river spilled over and settled on the lower portion of the rock. The reflections of the sky and clouds was lovely in the still water of this reflecting pool.

@DebOppermann The reflection of the clouds is really dramatic.
The surface also seems to have a slight iridescence. I wonder if it's caused by a biofilm from the river or the rocks or something else.
The framing is brilliant and the subject, though static, is thrilling if you know where to look.
And that's just one perspective.
Or, if I want, I could look at like a planetary geologist looks at a picture from a Mars rover.
I'd love to get a #ChemCam spectrum on that yellow silt-like material.
