Two years ago, I wrote something for the general public for the first time.

Climate action, unlike deflecting a comet, won't bring immediate reward for politicians and companies. Even though results won't be seen for 20-30 years, we need to take action now. Laurent Bopp and I wrote about lessons from @ghostpanther's #DontLookUp.

@davidho @ghostpanther I saw Don't Look Up.

All the protagonists were desperately unhappy until they learned to accept disaster, and then they gained a modicum of serenity.

The message I got from the film was that fighting is pointless: we should instead give up and accept our fates.

I disagree 100% with that message.
