#Ohio Pastor Charged for Opening Church to Homeless People in Freezing Weather

"This is actual religious persecution of a Christian by the state," said one journalist. "An actual violation of religious liberty."

If anyone wants to **write or call the mayor** to support the church’s position, that info is publicly available.

Common Dreams
@AliceMarshall When I read about the injustice of criminalizing helping the homeless my anxiety starts to kick in. So morally bankrupt.
@AliceMarshall Everything about this is wrong. Everything.
@AliceMarshall
I am so used to Christians acting/behaving in unchristian ways. Who knew local governments are now forcing real Christians to be unchristian. "The Onion" is being out out of business thanks to the modern day Christians in the US.
@AliceMarshall It's cute how the pastor emphasizes that this is an "actual" violation of religious liberty, as if acknowledging that most claimed violations are spurious.
@AliceMarshall
Petty, constipated authoritarians can't see the forest for the trees. In this case, codes meant to address long term public health issues now used to demean and threaten the lives of unhoused people.

@AliceMarshall

This is local/state action in OHIO... a bastion of "that party" that claims it is the leader of all things moral and religious.

@AliceMarshall @bicmay “Conservatives" do not stand for the things they say they stand for, just greed and power
