It’s 2024, which means I’m legally allowed to make my one #Linux distro tier list video for the year.

And a lot of distros have changed since the last one in early 2023, and I’ve tested a lot more as well, so it’s pretty packed!

And as with all tier lists, it’s obviously subjective, and tailored towards my own use case, so don’t get too offended if your favorite distro didn’t land in the spot you wanted it!

@thelinuxEXP I agree with a lot of your list. I'm back to using Mint, after switching to Garuda (Arch-based) and generally liking it a lot but getting fed up with things breaking all the time. My big hopes are that Nobara gets a bigger team and that Solus generally gets itself together, because I really want to love both those distros but I just can't yet.

@EponymousBosh @thelinuxEXP Yeah I personally always found Garuda more than a little janky. Credit where it's due though, it is absolutely stunning!
