Tom@gedeonm Hi. With the recent highlight of the iconfactory.com website and a little focus on Triode, I thought I’d give the app another shot recently. I do have a query about if there are maybe some updates in the works for it.
@gedeonm My streaming needs are usually limited to a few stations, and a bit niche since these are usually of the chiptune genre. These can sometimes be hard to find by search but of course can added manually. However, manually added stations don’t pick up the station artwork. Is there a way to do this?
@gedeonm In the screenshot, for example, I show the same station added manually and via search. One picks up artwork (which can sometimes just be station or album artwork), the other does not.
Another station, KEYGEN FM, needs added manually and so has no artwork.
Are there plans to expand on this ability? Any other little tweaks that might be coming that you are allowed to discuss at all as a sneak peek? 😉
@gedeonm And I’ve just seen https://support.iconfactory.com/kb/triode/my-station-isnt-listed-in-find-a-station, so maybe that’s an option.
Always curious for any upcoming info though!😀
Ged Maheux@xsan64 Dunno there might be a bug there if the same exact station has artwork in once case and not the other. Craig may have something to say there, unsure. cc @chockenberry
@gedeonm @chockenberry I’ll try the radio browser support article route. The site doesn’t have Keygen FM listed. Maybe there is extra metadata you grab from there for various settings.
I’ll see how it goes.
@xsan64 Wheter or not Triode picks up the station artwork has more to do with the meta data from the broadcaster than if being added manually I believe. One of the reasons why we added the ability to upload your own custom station art. cc @chockenberry
