This project was for a gift exchange, so I couldn't share it until now. It's a (large!) laptop bag/backpack with 100 LEDs in the front flap arranged in a Fibonacci spiral (inspired by @jasoncoon ) and diffused through a Voronoi arrangement of 3D printed translucent black PETG tiles.

@jasoncoon @geekmomprojects Whoa, this is next level — well done (and would-buy!)

What did you use for the LED array? Individual pixels you placed and wired manually or something off-the-shelf?

@KevinFreitas I used an LED pebble light string that is wound back and forth and to the backs of the tiles (the tiles have small wells in the back to hold the hot glue). The glue serves a double function of holding the LEDs in place and diffusing the light across the tile.
@geekmomprojects Brilliant! Haven’t played with those pearl LED strings but am now shopping… Cheers!
@KevinFreitas The pebble light strings are really wonderful for wearables because they are quite sturdy and very flexible. Enjoy!
