Why would you assume it’s a yet undiscovered mesoamerican civilization as opposed to an existing one? Location location location?

A French article on the contrary says : known civilisation, known sites. Just, now, we see the massive underwater part of the iceberg and it change the scale of those "isolated buildings sites" into "ancient urbans sites".

They been uncovering these jungle covered bumps via LiDAR for decades now, maybe enough to string a network between them for the first time?

@Chancerubbage @black_intellect i wouldnt be surprised if we find out these civilizations got killed of by the Justinian plague or some pandemic like that.
