@marcolgato that's my hunch as well. I'm less confident it'll play out exactly that way than I am that Biden would lose but I do think that's the plan.

Either that's the plan, or the plan is to lose because Trump is good for fundraising for Democrats. But that's a very cynical view so I'm crossing my fingers it's the former.

@rodhilton if so it’s not because of the silly antidotes about a few people quitting the campaign. Most analysts go a lot deeper about dem prospects. Don’t forget all the states that matter often come down to a few demographics. And that helped Biden last time. RFK and West are big factors fyi.

I also knew Trump would win in 2016 and said so before he even got the nomination. Lots of people said I was nuts and I made some money taking bets.

@rodhilton Newsweek is kind of a rag these days, but it's plain to anyone that Biden is an unpopular candidate. He only won the first term because we were all so desperate to get rid of Trump. His support for the ongoing genocide in Gaza has eclipsed his positive accomplishments for many voters. I'm not the only one sick of "Vote blue no matter who." The Democratic Party has gotten into the habit of pissing in our hands and telling us it's raining.
Still, I won't vote Republican no matter what.
