Stats for December
- 493 active users (-2 Month over Month)
- 9 new users (+5 MoM)
- 27,542 interactions (+5,424 MoM)
- 4.7 TB of user uploads (-120 MB MoM)
- 34.7 GB stored in Postgres database (-6 GB MoM)
- 1 TB of traffic served through Cloudflare (-2 TB MoM, 57% cached)
The drop in DB size and uploads is due to running some cleanup scripts to delete old posts from other servers that nobody ever interacted with. Eventually I need to automate running these to keep storage growth in check.
Costs for December
- $60.46 to Hetzner for our 16 vcpu / 32 gb ram VM
- $27.25 to Cloudflare for CDN/SSL/etc
- $33.48 to Backblaze for upload and backup storage
- $13.89 to Wasabi for upload and backup storage
- $135.08 total (-19.01 MoM)
Finally finished moving everything from Wasabi to Backblaze, so this will be our last payment to them. Yay costs going down!
Chris ⭕️🪿🌹@clifff just curious, how much room for growth do you think you have available on that vm?
@NittyGritty the limiting factor at this point is disk size - we're currently on the stock 80 GB. eventually we'll need to size up but hoping not for a couple months yet.
I think we should be able to support 1k active monthly on this size vm, maybe more
