Co-owner Mr Rimmer announced online that #Greens would be closing "with immediate effect"

He blamed a rise in rent and running costs for making the restaurant "unviable" and said it was a "heart-breaking day"

The restaurant in Lapwing Lane, #Didsbury, opened in 1990

The landlords have been contacted for comment
